Louisville won't have center Mangok Mathiang for Wednesday's game against Cleveland State unless it's an emergency, U of L coach Rick Pitino said.

The 6-foot-10 Mathiang sprained his ankle but is expected to be fully healthy for Louisville's matchup against Ohio State next Tuesday.

The redshirt sophomore has been used as Louisville's sixth man this fall. In the Cards' four wins, Mathiang's averaged 4.5 points and 7.8 rebounds in 22.8 minutes a game.

Pitino has praised Mathiang several times for his defensive communication, and he and Onuaku have been two of the top offensive rebounders in the country so far.

Q&A: 3 questions with Louisville big man Mangok Mathiang

Chris Jones likely to play: Louisville's point guard had sore shins during Monday's win over Savannah State, but Pitino expects him to play against Cleveland State. Jones had a stress fracture in his shin this summer and missed about a month of practice.
