Shared Belief the favorite for Keeneland BC

Shared Belief runs past California Chrome in Saturday's San Antonio Stakes.

Shared Belief's victory in last Saturday's San Antonio Stakes at Santa Anita increased his favoritism -- and his odds -- of winning Keeneland's 2015 Breeders' Cup Classic.

The gelding, co-owned by sports talk show host Jim Rome, moved from 5-1 to 5-2 in Wynn Las Vegas' latest odds released this week, now a distinct top pick over Palace Malice (6-1), California Chrome (8-1) and Bayern (10-1).

Other horses getting a drop in price were Donn Handicap winner Constitution, who went from 65-1 to 10-1, and San Pasqual winner/third-place San Antonio runner Hoppertunity, now at 10-1 from 20-1.

Despite their defeats in major stakes races over the weekend, California Chrome and Lea (20-1) didn't see their odds change.

Last year's Belmont Stakes winner, Tonalist, remained 12-1 and two-time Horse of the Year Wise Dan is still on the board at 20-1, though should the aging gelding makes it back to the track he will likely stick to the friendly Keeneland turf at the Breeders' Cup.

The Classic runs Oct. 31, capping North American racing's richest weekend that returns to Kentucky for the first time since 2011 at Churchill Downs. This year marks the first Keeneland has hosted.
