The University of Louisville basketball team won't have reserve center Matz Stockman for Tuesday's game against Cal State Northridge, U of L coach Rick Pitino said on his radio show Monday.

Stockman, a 7-foot center from Norway, suffered a hyperextended knee in practice and could miss 7-10 days. His status is in doubt for Saturday's matchup against Kentucky and next Tuesday's game against Long Beach State.

The freshman's only played in three games this season. Pitino praised Stockman in recent weeks for his progress in workouts, but the third-string center tweaked his neck in practice a few weeks ago before suffering his most recent setback.

The last time Stockman played, he had three rebounds and two blocks in a win over FIU. He scored two points in U of L's wins over Jacksonville State and Savannah State and averages 1.3 points and 2.7 rebounds a game.
