Blackshear, Harrell, Rozier post-Duke Q&As

Coach K and Rick Pitino embrace before Saturday's game.

Here are a few quick answers from Louisville players in locker-room interviews after Duke's 63-52 win at U of L on Saturday ...

Terry Rozier

On if he and his teammates talk about their shooting issues: Yeah, we talk about it. But we're mainly concerned with our defense. If we play our defense, it'll clean up for our offense. If we're not getting stops, it slows the whole game down. If we're getting stops, we can push the ball and we can score in transition. We can play Louisville basketball -- play fast.

On the offensive woes and if it's as simple as making shots: No, we have to look to do other things. I wish it was that simple. We haven't had the best year of shooting. It's not the end of the world. We're going to keep getting better. Hopefully next time a team zones us, the shots will fall.

On how Louisville can become a good offensive team: Get in the gym. We have 24/7 access. Get in the gym.

Montrezl Harrell

On the post-game message: (Louisville coach Rick Pitino) told us we played hard but we didn't play smart. I agree with him. We gave great effort but we didn't do the things we did in practice. We didn't stick to our defensive game plan all game.

On finding offense when shots aren't hitting: Honestly, it's hard to say. We had good looks at shots. Even in the end, I had a few around the baskets that went in and out, layups that went in and out. Terry had great looks. It's tough. You have to keep shooting the ball, though.

On getting more involved on offense: That's not for me to decide. I'm not the coach of this team. That's not my job to decide how I get more involved in this offense. That's up to (Pitino).

Wayne Blackshear

On shooting woes: I don't think it was bothering us. We were getting good looks. The ball didn't go in. We were getting frustrated by that. Just because we're not shooting well, we can't let it affect us on the defensive end.

On making up for offensive problems: We have to rely on our defense. That's what we're known for. No matter if we're scoring the ball or not, we have to keep playing defense and getting turnovers.
