Calamity (noun): An event causing great and often sudden damage or distress; a disaster.

So maybe the headline's a bit strong, but if you have a better word for the ACC's Coastal Division, let me know.

Right now, it seems like the best fit to describe a division that has one 2-1 team, one 3-2 team, one 1-3 team and FOUR 2-2 teams. Duke, which is that 2-1 team, lost its only game to Miami, which is one of those 2-2 teams. So if Duke loses another conference game, the tiebreaker scenarios get all fuzzy and warm again. Or, depending on how you like your tea, calamitous.

There's a lot of juicy Coastal matchups this week, too. Duke and Pitt meet. BC and Virginia Tech meet. UNC and Miami meet. Virginia and Georgia Tech meet.

In other words, things will be far more confusing after this weekend.
