Davis, Cousins, Wall to attend Team USA minicamp

Former Kentucky stars Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall are among the 34 players set to attend next week's USA Basketball Men's National Team minicamp in Las Vegas, announced byUSA Basketball Chairman and Managing Director Jerry Colangelo on Thursday.

Davis is one of eight minicamp participants to win an Olympic gold medal in 2012 and a gold medal with the 2014 World Cup Team while Cousins is one of 11 to capture gold in '14.

Davis, Cousins, Wall and Morehead State's Kenneth Faried are all among the 26 national team pool members included on the roster while Indiana's Victor Oladipo is one of the eight new additions.

The 34 selected players represent 21 different NBA teams, featuring four from the NBA champion Golden State Warriors (Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson) and three from the Cleveland Cavaliers (LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love) and Los Angeles Clippers (Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan), respectively.

Duke's Mike Krzyzewski will serve as head coach while Syracuse's Jim Boeheim, ex-Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau and Oklahoma City Thunder assistant Monty Williams will serve as assistants.

The minicamp will take place Aug. 11-12, concluding on Aug. 13 with the 2015 USA Basketball Showcase.

The 2016 Olympic Games will be held Aug. 5-21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
