University of Louisville running back Michael Dyer doesn't do interviews these days, but a number of people close to him did speak recently to CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd amid the senior's resurgence on the football field.

That includes Dyer's uncle, Andre Dyer, who reminded that even as his nephew attends his fourth school, he was never arrested, charged or convicted of any crimes while at the previous three. And Andre Dyer works for the police department in Little Rock. Ark.

"He can also be a butthole sometimes," Andre told Dodd. "He gets that from me. That's being honest. I can be a butthole too sometimes."

Another major figure in the story is Fitz Hill, a former San Jose State coach and now president of Arkansas Baptist College, where Dyer attended last year. Hill put Dyer through what he calls "human rehabilitation," according to Dodd's article.

"I've been unfairly judged," Dyer told Hill at one point. "I need to clear my name. Everybody thinks I'm a thug."

Now in his second year at U of L, Dyer emerged against NC State to rush for 100 yards for the first time since his Auburn days. He's expected to carry the load when the Cardinals host Florida State on Thursday.
