Louisville coach Bobby Petrino addressed the media on Monday after a long weekend for his team. Here are five takeaways from his press conference:

Punt returner changes. Judging by the reaction on Twitter, it's good news for Louisville fans that Petrino moved Eli Rogers into the first-team punt unit as the primary return man. He took over those duties during the FSU game and will keep them for the foreseeable future, Petrino said. James Quick, returning punts because of his athleticism and speed, has struggled this year cleanly fielding punts.

Learning about Louisville. Petrino insisted his players and coaches have moved on from Thursday's loss to FSU. "We're focusing on BC," he said. But this game, like NC State after the Clemson loss, will be a key opportunity for Petrino to learn about his team. "This is the week to find that out," he said.

Parker's health. DeVante Parker revealed on Thursday night that he wasn't fully healthy after not scoring on his game-opening 71-yard reception. He said he wasn't able to accelerate the way he's used to. Petrino on Monday said Parker has done that in practice, too, pulling up after an explosive play. But, Petrino added, "last week was a significant improvement."

BC's Murphy. Petrino said preparing for BC quarterback Tyler Murphy, who is leading the nation's QBs in rushing yards, presents a different type of challenge than FSU's Jameis Winston, who is more of a pocket passer. BC calls designed runs for Murphy, but he also understands the pocket and his rushing lanes on designed passes. Louisville, as we said in this morning's Week 11 Look Ahead, has to be good with its eye and gap discipline on defense.

Vatuvei out. Pio Vatuvei, a key reserve who plays both end and tackle on the defensive line, will miss the BC game with an elbow injury. He didn't play against FSU, either. Petrino said they hoped Vatuvei would be available for the Nov. 22 game at Notre Dame, but he didn't sound overly confident. The team as a whole took quite a few nicks and bumps against FSU, so another bye week on the weekend of the 15th will help.
