Louisville City FC coach James O'Connor has signed a full roster, and artificial turf covers the base paths at Louisville Slugger field ahead of Saturday's inaugural season opener at 3 p.m. against Saint Louis FC.

All that was left Thursday was to reveal the new USL franchise's 2015 kits -- the soccer term for uniforms -- and the team did it in style.

With staff, players and a fan group of "Founding Members" who already have season tickets, Louisville City FC officials rolled out kits Thursday afternoon at Slugger Field that feature an all-purple home look and white for the road.

The adidas jerseys, with three white stripes running down the sides, complement primary sponsor Humana's logo on the front, Your Community Bank signage on the back, Brown-Forman's el Jimador tequila on the sleeve and ISCO Industries on the shorts.

"Without this corporate support, we go nowhere with this," said team owner Wayne Estopinal, a local architect who specializes in healthcare planning and design. "...I owe Humana so much more than they can ever give this jersey. It's been wonderful to have them on. They really started help my career."

Humana will also serve as presenting sponsor for Louisville City FC's camps and clinics, in addition to funding "Humana Day" at Slugger Field this season.

T.J. Gibb, a Humana vice president, said, "We're trying to help all the families of Louisville -- parents, kids, everybody in the community -- live a better life and have the best health they can. Our sponsorship of the team here really revolves around health."

Louisville City FC's kits will go on sale to the public by May 1.

Trio signed by club: Additionally Thursday, Louisville City FC rounded out its opening-game roster by signing three trial players. They include goalkeeper Greg Ranjitsingh, English forward Cameron Lancaster and Serbian forward Ilija Ilic.

Ranjitsingh should back up Scott Goodwin, a former North Carolina keeper, in goal. Lancaster scored the go-ahead goal in a friendly against Indiana University. And Ilic, who played with Niall McCabe at Young Harris College, was in 2014 named the NCAA Division II Player of the Year.

"He has a strong right foot that is going to lead to many goals for us," the first-year coach O'Connor said of Ilic. "He was constantly filling the stat sheet at Young Harris, and we now that we have seen what he can do first hand, we are thrilled to have him on board."

The club will also have at its disposal Sydney Rivera, a forward out of Old Dominion selected by affiliate Orlando City SC in the fourth round of this year's MLS SuperDraft.

"Really, Orlando City's trying to feel out what they need to compete in the MLS," Estopinal said. ""They're trying to figure out what they need, and when they get a little more comfortable," more are expected from the affiliate club.

Estopinal then quipped. "We like to say they'll be promoted to Louisville."
