Report: UK target to reclassify to '15

The Courier-Journal

Five-star Canadian prospect Jamal Murray will reclassify to the 2015 class and sign soon with Kentucky or Oregon, according to a report Sunday via Twitter from Sonny Bairos of CanadianBallers.com.

Bairos cited "a source close to the situation" for the news.

Assuming the 6-foot-5 Murray will reclassify, that means he could sign and potentially play immediately at the school of his choice. Bairos also tweeted that Oregon is believed to be the front-runner for the Toronto, Ontario player.

247Sports.com ranks Murray as the 13th-beat prospect nationally in the 2016 class.

"He's a combination guard who can play both on and off the ball," Scout.com national recruiting analyst Evan Daniels told the Courier-Journal in May. "He's a very gifted shooter, but he's also a gifted passer and a guy that's really approved his ability to run a team. So if a college were able to get him right now, he's an impact performer from Day 1."
