Suspect pleads not guilty to triple shooting

A man accused of fatally shooting three in a home early Saturday morning pleaded not guilty Monday in Jefferson District Court.

George Slaughter, 26, faces three murder charges as well as tampering with physical evidence.

Louisville Metro Police found William Neal, 35, and his girlfriend Elizabeth Draper, 43, dead inside their home in the 4200 block of Wheeler Avenue, said deputy coroner Eddie Robinson.

Douglas Weber, 36, of New Albany, Ind., was also pronounced dead on the scene.

LMPD arrested Slaughter later that day at his apartment in the 5500 block of Mildenhall Way, according to his arrest citation. He is being held at Metro Corrections on a $100,000 cash bond and is next due in court Feb. 25.

Police said they do not anticipate more arrests.

Slaughter was previously charged with murder nearly 10 years ago, court records show. He pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second-degree manslaughter in 2008, agreeing to serve 10 years in prison.
