1. Cirque de Soleil has teamed with the estate of Michael Jackson for an over-the-top celebration of everything MJ that uses 49 dancers, musicians and acrobats. Now in its third year, “Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour” is one of the top 10 grossing music tours of all time, which proves the obvious: People gonna love Michael Jackson. A lot.

2. Angel Olsen is a compelling singer and writer, an artist with a fierce commitment to her viewpoint: the embracing of living fully, even when things get ugly. “Are you lonely, too?” she asks on her new album. “High five, so am I.” The Promised Land Sound opens.

3. For 21-year-olds discovering the glories of unchaperoned adult life, Karmin’s #Pulses Tour might be the perfect musical option. The jury’s still out for the rest of the world. Opener Bonnie McKee has co-written some enormous hits, including Katy Perry’s “California Gurls.”

4. Katie Herzig and Noah Gundersen are perfect for anyone into the modern singer-songwriter scene, which is explored on our own WFPK (91.9-FM). The station is actually presenting the pair’s show, and it will be an emotional evening, especially when Gundersen is unloading, although Herzig is the sun to Gundersen’s midnight.
