Louisville receivers coach Lamar Thomas found himself in a bit of a social-media uproar on Wednesday afternoon, tweaking his alma mater Miami in the wake of U of L's season-opening win.

Thomas, a member of Miami's Hall of Fame and two-time national champion with the Hurricanes, posted on Twitter a side-by-side photo of Louisville's Papa John's Cardinal Stadium on Monday night and Miami's Sun Life Stadium, with the comment: "The CHOICE is yours."

The photo has since been deleted from Thomas's Twitter timeline, but a screenshot taken by U of L fan blogger Mark Blankenbaker is still up.

Louisville team upended Miami 31-13 on national television in the Cardinals' ACC debut. Palm Beach Post reporter Matt Porter notes that the photo of Sun Life Stadium that Thomas used is possibly from a Miami spring game.

Thomas may have taken down the original tweet, but he did respond to fellow Miami alum Michael Irvin's post from late Monday.

"Not me, I'm feeling gr8!!!" Thomas responded.
