Bellarmine men open against Cincinnati

Bellarmine University's men's basketball team opens its season tonight in an exhibition game at Cincinnati.

Tip-off at UC's on-campus Fifth Third Arena is 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.gobearcats.com/tickets or at the door.

There is no scheduled television coverage, but the game will be streamed at the following link http://www.gobearcats.com/collegesportslive/?media=469583. 970 AM in Louisville will carry the radio broadcast.

The Knights return three starters from a 23-8 season - forwards George Suggs and Jake Thelen and guard Rusty Troutman - and areranked 13th in the D2 Bulletin preseason NCAA Division II rankings.

Bellarmine and Cincinnati have played four times in exhibitions, including the Bearcats' 84-72 victory last season. Coaches Scott Davenport (Bellarmine) and Mick Cronin (Cincinnati) worked together at Louisville from 2001-2003.
