Kentucky players answer fans' Twitter questions

During interviews, I usually try to ask questions that I think readers would be curious about. But sometimes I have no idea what readers are curious about, and so sometimes I just ask them to tell me.

At the Kentucky men's basketball team's media day. I went on Twitter and asked you to ask me what to ask the Wildcats. You gave some good questions and the players gave some good answers, and here they are:

The University of Kentucky basketball team has 13 scholarship players, and coach John Calipari intends to use two five-man units, with the others ready to fill in where needed.

Trey Lyles: I think Andrew [Harrison] and Tyler [Ulis], because they're the point guards. They lead the team. They're guys we look forward to talking to and they really speak up.

Dakari Johnson : Anybody, really. I think we have a bunch of guys that can be the leader. We have a lot of competitors on this team and anyone can step up.

Alex Poythress: Willie [Cauley-Stein]. He'd be the most resourceful, probably making stuff out of random things, like coconuts or something.

Dakari Johnson : I would bring whoever can cook, probably. Who can cook? I don't know if anyone can cook on this team. Brian Long.

Devin Booker : Tyler. We've just been best friends forever.

Andrew Harrison : If I can't bring my brother, probably Alex.

Alex Poythress: I would. They beat us, and we always want to go out on top.

Andrew Harrison: It doesn't really matter.

Marcus Lee : Oh, yeah, we're not losing any more games. I have total faith in our football team.

Alex Poythress: I think we'll be 9-3.

Dakari Johnson: Probably Russ Smith. He's from New York and we played in the same AAU program and I've known him since I was a little kid. I respect him.

Alex Poythress: I got respect for all the Louisville players. I guess Chris Jones. I played against him in high school in Tennessee a couple of times.

Trey Lyles: I'd probably say Dakari, just because you don't expect it from him, but he's a funny guy so he makes it work.

Marcus Lee: Willie. I expect Willie, that's just how he acts. He's really good at communicating with people.

Andrew Harrison: Oh me, definitely. Second, I'd say Dakari.

Devin Booker: I'd say 100 horses the size of a duck, because you could just kick them out of the way.

Dakari Johnson: (laughs) I don't know how to answer that. I guess a big duck?

Marcus Lee: Willie.

Dakari Johnson: Probably Karl [Towns].

Trey Lyles: Just listen to music pretty much. A lot of Drake.

Dakari Johnson : Listen to music, to Jay Z.

Devin Booker: Just pray. That's a big thing.

Marcus Lee: Local Taco. I haven't been there and really want to go.

Andrew Harrison: Malone's. Everything there is pretty good.

Willie Cauley-Stein : JDI (Jefferson Davis Inn)

(*It was a sort of 1960s-looking long-sleeve shirt WCS wore under his jersey when he was injured)

Willie Cauley-Stein: It's in the closet. It's just waiting to get worn again.
