Horses approached the finish in Saturday's fifth race. Three of the five horses pictured were in the track's "Mutuel Fun" bet.

Keeneland's media relations manager, Matt May, noted on his Twitter page Tuesday after the track announced it will host the 2015 Breeders' Cup that an in-house video was part of the track's pitch.

The piece, posted to Keeneland's YouTube channel, goes back to the Lexington, Ky., track's beginnings 75 years ago in the center of the breeding world. It also hits on the local community, capturing young fans and the track's respect from horsemen.

Then there are the horses themselves.

"They are born here. They are raised here. They are sold here. And then they return here," a narrator reads. "The full circle for the Breeders' Cup champions consistently centers around the Bluegrass.

"…What a better homecoming for the horses and their connections than a Breeders' Cup at Keeneland?"

The track also already on Tuesday had ready a starting gate, not in the traditional Keeneland green but the Breeders' Cup's purple.
