LEXINGTON, Ky. – Brad Durham, the former University of Kentucky offensive lineman who fell from the upper deck during Saturday night's game at Commonwealth Stadium, remained in serious condition at UK Hospital late Monday afternoon, a school spokesperson said.

A witness, who was seated behind Durham and tried to save him from falling, said Durham stood up and faced the crowd to celebrate the Wildcats' game-winning touchdown late in the game when he lost his balance, tipped over the railing and plunged 35-40 feet to the seats below.

"I can't comment on any specific individual, but I'll just say that with the great support and energy we had in that stadium, it was sad to hear that somebody got injured," UK football coach Mark Stoops said Monday, "and definitely our hearts and prayers are with anybody that got hurt at the stadium."

Durham played for the Cats from 2007 to 2010. Rich Brooks, Kentucky's coach at the time, tweeted support Monday, calling Durham a "great young man and outstanding player."
