Refresh this page regularly for updates during the University of Louisville's 3:30 p.m. Saturday game at Clemson, the teams' first meeting.

Final: They stormed the field in Death Valley after Clemson's 23-17 victory.

The Tigers moved to 4-2 and U of L 5-2.

Of course, the Cards have Florida State left to play. The conference title is still in play.

0:21, 4Q:

Batted down. Ball game.

Will Gardner rolled right and had a run-pass option. He took the pass, and it didn't get over the goal line.

The Cards will move to 5-2.

0:27, 4Q: Kai De Lai Cruz caught it on a crossing route. The run was stuffed. And the Cards spiked on 3rd down. So it's 4th and goal from the 2, for the game.

1:08, 4Q: James Quick, checking in.

The Trinity product caught a 1st down pass from Will Gardner and did most of the work, running 73 yards to get the Cards in the red zone.

Now it's a matter of punching it in from the 8.

1:24, 4Q: It's good.

Clemson's 21-yard field goal puts the Tigers up 23-17.

U of L's out of timeouts and needs a touchdown to tie and the extra point to win in Death Valley.

1:33, 4Q: Here it is. Clemson has the ball inside the 5 and 3rd and goal. U of L has a single timeout left.

The Tigers can run and make the Cards use their last timeout. Or, pass for the end zone.

It's 20-17.

6:58, 4Q: U of L's running out of time.

The Cards punted again, with a 12-yard Gerald Christian reception to start their latest drive the only first down. Continuing to wage a field position battle, Clemson has it at the 28-yard line.

9:16, 4Q: What else? The Cards' defense stood again, forcing Clemson's 10th punt of the day. U of L has tallied 11 of them.

Trailing 20-17, the Cards will have 1st and 10 from their own 17.

10:29, 4Q: U of L faced a 4th and 2 from the Clemson 44 and couldn't pull it off. Dominique Brown's rush was stuffed after just a yard, handing possession back to Clemson four plays (and two false start penalties) after the Cards' interception.

13:22, 4Q: James Burgess came up with play of the game so far for U of L, picking off a Cole Stoudt pass, to shift momentum again in a crazy game in Death Valley.

The Cards have it near midfield, trailing 20-17.

Oh, and there's this video of a Clemson fan making his way to the U of L bench: http://bit.ly/1wjeVUf

13:57, 4Q: U of L couldn't answer the Clemson field goal. Will Gardner had a pass batted down, another screen pass down two yards behind the line, and then he tossed a 3rd down incompletion.

The Cards punted -- again -- and set up Clemson with 1st and 10 at the Tigers' 44.

0:00, 3Q: Clemson's Cole Stoudt screambled on 3rd and 3 and met James Burgess well short of the sticks. The Tigers' Ammon Lakip hit a 40-yard field goal off the right upright, though, on the next play to give the Tigers a 20-17 lead to end the quarter.

3:09, 3Q: U of L returned the favor with another punt rather than attempt a 4th and inches from its own 26. Clemson sets up at its own 22.

4:23, 3Q: Clemson punted again after a series in which quarterback Cole Stoudt went 1 of 3.

5:27, 3Q: New quarterback, new result.

Will Gardner found wide-open receivers on back-to-back plays -- one of them, a 3rd down conversion -- before Gardner hit Eli Rogers over the middle for a 22-yard touchdown.

It's 17-17 in Death Valley.

6:35, 3Q: On Twitter, they call what just happened #Clemsoning.

The Tigers, with 4th and inches at their own 41, went for it and failed miserably, giving possession back to U of L after another defensive stand.

Will Gardner is in at quarterback for the Cards.

7:21, 3Q: Clemson and U of L are a combined 0 of 20 on third down conversions in this one.

Facing 4th and 1, the Cards' indecision on whether to go for it cost them an extra five yards before punting for delay of game. Ryan Johnson let go a punt that has Clemson at its own 32-yard line.

9:43, 3Q: The Cards' defense bent, but it didn't break. Still, a 6-play, 24-yard drive got Clemson close enough to hit a field goal, giving the Tigers a 17-10 lead.

By the way, Cole Stoudt, the Clemson quarterback, is younger brother of former U of L signal caller Zack Stoudt.

12:12, 3Q: We've seen plenty of this. Facing 3rd and medium -- 7, in this case -- Reggie Bonnafon was hounded and sacked for a big loss. The Cards punted away again to Clemson, which has the ball at its own 48.

14:01, 3Q: It was three-and-out for the Clemson offense, with Keith Kelsey playing a major role. The linebacker, who left injured on the final series of the first half, returned to make a solo tackle on 2nd down. Then he covered a pass well on 3rd down before the Tigers' punt.

It will be Reggie Bonnafon out to play quarterback for U of L.

15:00, 3Q: The Tigers will receive to open the second half.

Halftime: Clemson, channeling Syracuse from last week, lost a chance to score when quarterback Cole Stoudt decided to scramble for a would-be touchdown rather than throw the ball away.

The Tigers didn't have time to set up another play and walked into the locker room with just a 14-10 lead despite driving inside the 5.

By the way, coach Dabo Swinney told ESPN at halftime that starting quarterback Deshaun Watson broke a finger.

0:44, 2Q: Clemson is driving, nearly into field goal range, but first play was stopped for a Terrell Floyd injury. Floyd, the defensive back, was able to walk off the field.

1:01, 2Q: The Tigers used their two remaining timeouts to stop the clock and force a U of L punt. So many punts. Clemson has it at its own 46.

1:51, 2Q: Clemson quarterback Cole Stoudt fell just short of the 1st down marker, and U of L called timeout to preserve clock before yet another punt. But a block in the back penalty dragged the Cardinals back inside their own 20. Rather than try to drive the field, they're set to run out the clock.

3:13, 2Q: U of L defensive lineman DeAngelo Brown, who missed last season with an injury, just left the game shaken up again.

3:24, 2Q: There was a Ryan Mack false start. Then came a delay of game. And so 3rd and 11 turned into 3rd and 21, a distance the Cards couldn't cover on a Reggie Bonnafon deep ball thrown out of bounds down the left sideline.

The Cards punted again, with Adam Humphires not able to bring the return out past his own 15. But a facemask on the play moved the ball out to the 27.

7:16, 2Q: U of L's defense hasn't been on the field now for either of Clemson's touchdowns.

The most recent came with Reggie Bonnafon throwing in the shadow of his own end zone. The freshman was hit during his throwing motion, with the ball recovered and rushed a yard past the goal line.

It's now 14-10 in favor of the host Tigers.

8:46, 2Q: On another Clemson punt, U of L sent Charles Gaines, not James Quick, out to field it. The substitution didn't matter, though, as a kick near the goal line was downed at the 9.

The Cards didn't leak points on Quick's muffed punt return, just field position.

10:12, 2Q: Clemson's two biggest plays of the day have come on special teams -- first, the punt returned for a touchdown and now James Quick's muffed punt recovered inside of U of L territory.

It came after yet another U of L defensive stand and near-interception by James Sample.

11:30, 2Q: The Tigers finally got to Reggie Bonnafon. The oft-pressured U of L quarterback took a sack on 3rd down, wasting some solid field position.

Ryan Johnson's ensuing punt pinned Clemson at its own 6.

The Tigers have 2 yards of total offense so far.

13:29, 2Q: U of L's defense held again, ending another Clemson drive with a sack. James Quick accepted a fair catch at midfield.

Clemson will be without starting quarterback Deshaun Watson the rest of the game due to hand injury. Cole Stoudt has plenty of experience though. He began the year as starter before the true freshman Watson took over the role.

14:56, 2Q: It was Brandon Radcliff last week. Now Dominique Brown has the hot hand.

The big senior bulldozed his way into the end zone on the first play of the second quarter, giving U of L a 10-7 lead.

0:00, 1Q: Dominique Brown ended the first quarter with a pitch right for five yards. U of L will have 2nd and goal from the Clemson 2.

0:30, 1Q: U of L is back in the red zone thanks to an unlikely wheel route to running back Dominique Brown. The big senior caught a 39-yard Reggie Bonnafon pass, and the Cards saw their drive extended when Clemson was flagged for defensive holding.

The Cards have 1st and goal from the 8.

2:20, 1Q: Colt Stoudt entered in relief of starting Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson, who appeared to hurt his hand and is off to the locker room.

Stoudt's two plays in the series were an incomplete pass and sack. Then, the Tigers' punter measured just 21 yards.

U of L takes over at midfield down 7-3.

4:40, 1Q: John Wallace has U of L on the board with a 41-yard field goal, making it 7-3 following the James Sample interception.

6:06, 1Q: Clemson's true freshman quarterback, Deshaun Watson, made his first major gaffe in the shadow of his own end zone. Watson, under pressure, lobbed a pass at the left sideline picked off by U of L's James Sample.

The Cards took over at the 25.

6:44, 1Q: Out of the timeout, U of L thought better of going for it. Ryan Johnson's punt pinned Clemson at its own 9.

6:54, 1Q: Reggie Bonnafon lined up a brilliant bit of play-action on 3rd down but couldn't find a receiver, throwing out of bounds. Facing 4th and 2 from the Clemson 40, the Cards are going for it -- after a Clemson timeout.

8:51, 1Q: Big special teams play aside, the Cards have shut down the Tigers. Clemson's most recent drive: rush for loss of 1, incomplete and incomplete. Then a punt to the 24, muffed by James Quick, picked up and returned 11 yards.

9:48, 1Q: Through three drives, U of L's offense has amassed 17 total yards, all of them on the ground. A third punt was well-covered at Clemson's 19-yard line.

11:52, 1Q: U of L's defense forced a three-and-out of its own, with Clemson able to pick up just a yard on its opening series.

13:00, 1Q: The second Cards punt was much more successful. Adam Humphries called for a fair catch at his own 37, where Clemson's offense will set up its first drive.

13:07, 1Q: U of L went three-and-out again on its second drive, one finished with James Quick dropping a deep pass over his shoulders down the left sideline.

13:58, 1Q: It couldn't have started much worse for U of L, which went three-and-out and then saw Clemson return a punt 72 yards for a touchdown.

Adam Humphries cut up field, quickly making it 7-0 in favor of the host Tigers. It was Clemson's first punt returned for a score since 2009.

The Cardinals opened on offense with a three-and-out -- an off Reggie Bonnafon pass on 1st down, a short Brandon Radcliff run on 2nd and a drop by Keith Towbridge on 3rd.

15:00, 1Q: Reggie Bonnafon will get the start for U of L, which won the toss and elected to receive to open the game.

Pregame: It appears DeVante Parker, not in pads during pregame warmups, won't play Saturday. Meanwhile, U of L's quarterback situation is still unsolved.

It won't take long to find out if Clemson is legit, anyway. The Tigers competed well with Georgia and Florida State but, obviously, won against neither high-profile opponent.

A number of questions should be answered early on as U of L travels to Death Valley. We'll document it all here. Stay tuned.
