The University of Louisville's preseason football camp kicks off Monday, when players are due to report to campus to start August workouts.

New Louisville coach Bobby Petrino will address the media on Monday to kick off the week's proceedings, and actual on-field practices start at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday.

The team has run through physical testing over the past week. For practices, Petrino plans on splitting up U of L's newcomers and veterans over the first week, which are open to the public. Weather permitting, the practices will run on the fields next to the Trager Center and across the north parking lot from Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

Cardinals newcomers will practice in the morning sessions before veterans at 4:20 p.m.

The team's first intrasquad scrimmage is set for 9 a.m. Saturday, which also serves as U of L football media day and fan day.
