Teddy Bridgewater might have been serious earlier this year when, after a lackluster pro day without gloves, the former University of Louisville quarterback said he'd never again go anywhere without them.

Bridgewater showed up to the Minnesota Twins' Target Field on Wednesday to throw out first pitch for their game against the Cleveland Indians wearing gloves on both hands.

"It's part of my identity now — Teddy Two Gloves," the Minnesota Vikings rookie told FoxSports.com.

Bridgewater eventually took the glove off his right hand for his pitch, which he delivered after a solid windup. The throw, though, sailed a bit high.

Yes, an errant pitch came with the Cleveland market watching — the Browns were considered a favorite to select Bridgewater before Johnny Manziel slipped into the 20s on NFL draft night — but Bridgewater has more pressing concerns than showing off for other teams.

The Vikings, who took Bridgewater 32nd following his illustrious college career, star training camp Friday. Bridgewater will be in competition with veteran quarterbacks Matt Cassel and Christian Ponder for the starting job.

"I'm just ready to get there, put the pads on, just continue to play football," Bridgewater told Fox Sports. "That's what we're here to do — play football. I just can't wait to see the guys. We've had a month off now. I just can't wait to see the guys, get back, and just fly around."
