ESPN considers Louisville football among the teams that are "still in contention for the College Football Playoff."

But Bovada LV, an odds-making outfit, updated its own national-title odds on Tuesday, and Louisville's dropped from last week.

The Cardinals had 50-to-1 odds to win the national title last week, a day after beating Miami 31-13 in the season opener. This week, three days after crunching Murray State 66-21, Louisville's title odds dropped to 75-to-1.

U of L's 22nd-highest odds rank similarly to where the Cardinals sit in the AP Top 25.

FSU still has the highest odds, with Alabama and Oregon just behind. Virginia Tech, fresh off its upset of No. 8 Ohio State, shot up the odds chart, from 150-to-1 to 50-to-1.

And now that I've typed all this, let's all agree that it's the start of Week 3. We've got a long way to go.
