STORY LINES

* What can Louisville learn from its 93-84 loss to UNC last season? UNC's outlet passes and runouts off defensive rebounds hurt U of L in that game, Louisville coach Rick Pitino said. Stopping those leakouts will be priority No. 1 for U of L's perimeter players.

* Another game, another center starter for Louisville. This time it's expected to be Chinanu Onuaku. The 6-foot-10 freshman gives Louisville more of a physical presence against UNC, Pitino said. He's struggled in recent games, but Louisville needs him, Mangok Mathiang, Anas Mahmoud and even Jaylen Johnson to combat UNC's taller, leaner lineup.

* As part of an ongoing narrative over the past two games, Pitino again said Friday that his team must adjust to contrasting playing styles in its new league. UNC plays the highest tempo of basketball in the ACC, a stark difference from Clemson, which plays at a pace that ranks 316th out of 351 in college basketball.
