The University of Louisville football team on Saturday night helped Notre Dame post its best home season-finale television ratings since 2010.

The Cardinals' 31-28 win over Notre Dame, decided by a missed field goal with less than a minute to play, landed a 2.2 overnight rating on NBC, SportsMediaWatch.com reported on Tuesday. Those ratings were up 29 percent from last year's home finale when Notre Dame played BYU.

Louisville-Notre Dame beat out the SEC on CBS, the report says, but ABC's broadcast of Florida State-Boston College registered a 3.6 overnight rating.

The numbers didn't quite top Louisville's ACC debut against Miami, which posted a 2.7 rating, or the U of L-FSU game, which was the highest-rated game on ESPN all season.
