Dozier has 'great visit' with U of L

South Carolina guard P.J. Dozier - the University of Louisville's primary remaining recruiting target in the 2015 class - tweeted that his in-home visit with coach Rick Pitino and assistant Kenny Johnson went well Wednesday night.

"Had a Great visit with Louisville's coach Pitino and coach Johnson. Great guys!" Dozier posted on Twitter.

Dozier (highlights embedded below), who's rated No. 23 nationally by 247Sports.com, had U of L among his final options before the Cards accepted a commitment from five-star Florida guard Antonio Blakeney on Sept. 4, and stopped recruiting Dozier. After Blakeney withdrew his short-lived pledge on Sept. 15, the Cards re-engaged with Dozier and presumably will try to get him to come to Louisville for his fifth official visit.

He already has official trips planned for Michigan, North Carolina, Georgetown and South Carolina. Maryland is also recruiting him, too.

Dozier's father said last week that he and his son have no hard feelings over U of L taking Blakeney's commitment and that they would hear the Cards' new pitch out.

"We have watched Rick Pitino over the years and love what he does with his program over there," Perry Dozier Sr., who also coaches P.J. in high school, said last week. "The fans are amazing. Everything a kid would want to play basketball, Louisville seems to have it. The opportunity to be able to make it to the next level, there's a good stage for that. What is there not to like about Louisville?"

Meanwhile, Blakeney hosted the University of Kentucky for a home visit on Wednesday night.
