Virginia has played the last seven games without standout wing Justin Anderson, a 6-foot-6 junior who is second on the team in scoring.

Now it appears the second-ranked Cavaliers will be without him for one more.

UVA ruled out Anderson for Saturday's 6:30 p.m. game at Louisville after he underwent an appendectomy on Thursday. It's unclear how long Anderson will be out.

Virginia, the top seed in the ACC tournament next week, topped Louisville 52-47 back on Feb. 7. Anderson broke his finger in the first half of that game and didn't return, and though there's no doubting his importance to the team, UVA (28-1, 16-1 in the ACC) has still won every game since.
