STORY LINES

The race for fourth place in the ACC has now entered its final turn, and UNC and U of L are in a dead heat. Both teams are 9-5 in league play, and both have their share of tough games left. Louisville may have the edge in scheduling, though, with should-win games at Georgia Tech and FSU before finishing at home vs. Notre Dame and Virginia. UNC, however, has to play two NCAA tournament bubble teams -- NC State and at Miami -- before finishing at Georgia Tech and at home vs. Duke. Fourth place means an extra day of rest before the ACC tournament. Either way, it looks like we'll get a third UNC-U of L game, and could potentially see a third U of L-Virginia matchup.

Related:On Harrell's throw, and the diverging reactions

Louisville's offense the past few games has trended in the wrong direction again. U of L now ranks 86th in the nation in offensive efficiency, a number primarily earned through some woeful shooting percentages. The Cards make 49.3 percent of their 2-pointers, which ranks 109th in the nation, and just 30.4 percent of their 3s, which ranks 217th. They don't turn the ball over a ton, they offensive rebound well and they don't get their shots blocked a lot, but their low shot attempt-to-free throw ratio is concerning.

Sullivan:Chris Jones, Rick Pitino and the "knucklehead" comment

Terry Rozier has been Louisville's most consistent player this season. He is U of L's leading scorer. But he's also mired in a five-game shooting slump. The 6-foot-1 sophomore has made 23 of his last 76 shots, or just 30.2 percent. He's especially cold from 3-point range, where he's shooting 25 percent during that same five-game stretch. That said, Rozier's made up for it in other ways, averaging 5.6 rebounds and three assists per game over the last five contests.
