A pint-sized Louisville chef named Flynn Harris hopes to win a cafeteria makeover for his elementary school and some solid cash for his family.

The Lincoln Elementary second-grader has entered his Ninja Rice recipe in the Uncle Ben's national Ben's Beginners Cooking Contest.

From Wednesday through Oct. 29, you can view all the contest videos and vote for your favorite (Flynn's, of course!) by visiting www.UncleBens.com or www.Facebook.com/UncleBens and searching for the recipe name (Ninja Rice). You may vote once per 24 hours.

The contest consists of recipes created by children who are in kindergarten through eighth grade who submitted a home video that showed the family together in the kitchen.

Of course, a rice-based dish was required along with a discussion of what it's like to cook together as a family. The contest received hundreds of entries from families across the United States.

If we all help Flynn win with our votes, he could win one of the five grand prizes, which include $15,000 for his family and a $30,000 cafeteria makeover for Lincoln Performing Arts School, a Jefferson County Public Schools elementary arts magnet.
