The University of Louisville expects to have some answers from the NCAA on freshman Shaqquan Aaron's eligibility by early December, U of L coach Rick Pitino told CBS Sports on Monday.

It's the first definitive report of a timetable since U of L announced earlier this month that the NCAA had inquired about Aaron. Pitino said U of L submitted the Seattle native's answers to the NCAA's questions two weeks ago.

Aaron, a heralded prospect out of high school, has not played in Louisville's three regular-season games or its exhibition against Barry. The NCAA's eligibility center is looking into his high school transcripts.

The 6-foot-7 wing traveled to Puerto Rico with the team and is still practicing as he waits for the NCAA's word.

Aaron was the highest-rated prospect in Louisville's 2014 signing class, and his absence has forced Pitino to play power forward Montrezl Harrell and shooting guard Anton Gill at small forward when Wayne Blackshear's resting.
