While Louisville coach Bobby Petrino and Kentucky’s Mark Stoops have in the last week participated in a media “Car Wash” at ESPN, appearing on a number of national shows, it’s no surprise Jeff Brohm is keeping his tour local.

Brohm, the new Western Kentucky head coach who has landed all nine of his 2015 recruiting commitments so far from in-state players, is spending his Tuesday and capping it with a “Kickoff Party” for local fans.

WKU will host the event from 7-9 p.m. at the St. Matthews Buffalo Wild Wings in the Shelbyville Road Plaza.

Brohm, a Trinity High School and University of Louisville alum, will speak to the crowd along with Hilltoppers athletic director Todd Stewart.

There will be autographs and free schedule posters/cards. Fans can also get access to food specials and a single-game ticket offer exclusive to the Louisville partygoers.

WKU’s first season as a Conference-USA member — and Brohm’s first as head coach — opens Aug. 29 with a 7:30 p.m. home game against Bowling Green. CBS Sports Network will broadcast.
