U of L's ACC hoops media day, all-ACC picks

Louisville basketball will participate in its first ACC media day on Wednesday here in Charlotte, and we're here to bring you all the news, notes and analysis from the Cards' maiden experience with their ACC brethren.

Captains Wayne Blackshear and Montrezl Harrell are here for player interviews, and coach Rick Pitino will join the league's other 14 head men for Wednesday afternoon interviews.

It's a one-day schedule, with players running through press conference, radio row and writers' interviews in the morning and coaches doing the same thing in the afternoon. ACC commissioner John Swofford will address the media at 1 p.m.

The ACC will also announce its preseason all-conference team, plus its player and rookie of the year and the projected finish of the 15 teams.

Here's the interview schedule for the players of interest:

Louisville: Harrell, Blackshear - writers, 10 a.m.

Duke: Quinn Cook, Amile Jefferson - writers, 9 a.m.

UNC: Marcus Paige, Brice Johnson - writers, 10 a.m.

Virginia: Malcon Brogdon - writers, 11 a.m.

Notre Dame: Jerian Grant - writers, 10 a.m.

And the coaches ...

2:15 p.m.: Krzyzewski, Dixon, Larranaga, B. Williams, Manning

3:15 p.m.: Pitino, R. Williams, Brey, Christian

4:15 p.m.: Boeheim, Bennett, Gottfried, Gregory, Brownell
