Earl Fields and Heather Burgett of Hazard, Ky got married Friday and went to the South Carolina vs. Kentucky game Saturday.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – If you love University of Kentucky basketball, chances are Earl Fields' and Heather Burgett's Valentine's Day was better than yours.

The happy couple from Hazard, Ky. got married on Friday night at County Line Community Church and celebrated it Saturday by going to the UK vs. South Carolina game at Rupp Arena. Of course, the bride wore her wedding dress and the groom was in his tuxedo.

The two-hour drive was well worth it for the UK enthusiasts. Burgett said the couple received tickets to the game as a wedding gift from her uncle.

"I said I'm going to wear my wedding dress," the 37-year said. "He said 'go for it.' He's had these season tickets for years."

"I'm a big fan of Kentucky," Fields, 33, said. "I was so happy to come."

The couple brought a sign that read: "Just married. Honeymooning with the Cats." They even brought wedding favors (hot chocolate mix with marshmallows) for other fans in their section.

Burgett, a teacher, Fields, a bus driver, met at work at Chavies Elementary five years ago. When Fields started working at the school he introduced himself.

It was love at first sight. At least for Fields.

"She took my breath away so I had to go talk to her," he said.

Burgett added: "I came around in a few months."

Last Easter, Fields proposed to Burgett at church in front of the entire congregation.

"I had no idea," she said. "I was really surprised."

If Kentucky reaches the national championship game, will they go to Indianapolis in their wedding outfits?

"We would," they both said in unison.

The two plan to spend their honeymoon in Tennessee.
