LEXINGTON, Ky. – Former Michigan wide receiver Brian Cole has decided to transfer to Kentucky, a source confirmed to The Courier-Journal Sunday.

Michigan football early commit Brian Cole, left, stand behind new head coach Jim Harbaugh, bottom, for the national anthem before an NCAA college basketball game against Northwestern at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Mich., Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015.

Cole, a former four-star recruit and 2015 Under Armour All-American out of Saginaw, Michigan, could play wide receiver or safety at Kentucky. He was rated as a four-star athlete by Rivals.com as a senior in the 2015 recruiting class. Rivals ranked him as the No. 2 recruit in Michigan that year and 101st best prospect in the entire 2015 class.

REPORT: Ansley leaving UK for Alabama

As a freshman at Michigan, Cole appeared in three games as a receiver, totaling one catch for a loss on one yard, but was reported to have moved to safety during bowl practices in December. He would have three seasons of eligibility remaining at UK after sitting out the 2016 season as a FBS transfer.
