Former Louisville guard Trey Lewis will play NBA summer-league ball for his hometown team, the NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers.

Lewis, who was not picked in Thursday's NBA draft, is one of three former Cards to latch onto summer-league rosters so far, with Russ Smith (Portland) and Damion Lee (Miami) getting invitations.

The Cavaliers start their summer league on July 8 in Las Vegas.

Lewis, who transferred to U of L from Cleveland State, was second on the team in scoring in his only season with the Cards, averaging 11.3 points a game. He started 27 contests and helped Louisville finish 23-8.

U of L's Trey Lewis talks about playing his last game in the KFC Yum! Center.
