Donovan Mitchell made six 3-pointers en route to 29 points, Anas Mahmoud made all seven shots en route to 14 points and No. 14 Louisville played dominant defense in crushing host Pittsburgh 106-51 Tuesday night.

Backup Ryan McMahon scored 15 points on five 3-pointers for U of L (17-4, 5-3 ACC), which got its second victory in two weeks over Pitt (12-8, 1-6) to sweep the regular-season series. The Panthers, who saw coach Kevin Stallings get ejected in the second half shot only 26 percent from the floor and were outrebounded 48-26.

Read back over updates as they occurred.

Final, Louisville 106-51:  McMahon hit a fifth three before heading the bench, and U of L finished with 15 points.

2H, 3:17, Louisville 101-45: Given the bench-clearing by Pitino, it's fair to say the nights of the starters are done. So that means 29 points in 25 minutes for Donovan Mitchell, who hit 6 threes, and 14 points on 7-of-7 shooting by Mahmoud. Jaylen Johnson has seven points and 11 rebounds.Mathiang has nine points and nine rebounds. 10 points each for Adel (also six boards) and Hicks (also four assists). McMahon, who has 12 points and five assists, is still in the game. Henderson's FTs pushed U of L over the century mark.

2H, 3:55, Louisville 99-43:  McMahon sinks his fourth three from the right corner, and he has 12 points. Pitino has cleared the bench now, with Stockman, Henderson, Spalding and even Tyler Sharpe in the game. Henderson drove down the lane for a layup. Sharpe has come out firing, but has missed all three shots in his first two minutes of play.

2H, 7:14, Louisville 90-37: Hicks and Adel now have 10 points apiece, joining Mitchell (29) and Mahmoud (14) in double figures. Young, who has 12 points, is the only Pitt player in double figures. This equals Louisville's biggest lead.

2H, 9:37, Louisville 84-36: Cards got up by as much as 51 and are crushing the Panthers with a lot of time left. Mitchell with a layup for his 28th and 29th points. McMahon doing a nice job playing point and hit Johnson on a nice pick-and-roll

2H, 14:03, Louisville 74-27: Wow again. Kevin Stallings is T'd up and ejected, so I guess he got two technicals. Mitchell makes 3/4 FTs, so he now has 27 points. McMahon then nails another deep three. Stallings got the first T, then wen way out of the coaches' box after the ref for the second T. I can't imagine a team has ever played much better during the Pitino era.

2H, 14:24, Louisville 68-27: Wow, another dunk by Mahmoud on an alley-oop, who has 14 points on 7-of-7 shooting, and another three by Mitchell. He's got 24 points and six threes.

2H, 15:46, Louisville, 62-24: A few fantastic two-way sequences for Louisville as Mahmoud blocks Young's dunk attempt, and Adel finds Mitchell in the left corner for a three. he has five threes and 19 points. After Johnson came up short - blocked by the rim on a wide-open dunk - Mahmoud swatted Pitt's shot again, starting a U of L break. It leads to an Adel layup. Mitchell also has finished an alley-oop to give him 21 points. Right before the timeout, Mahmoud alters a shot and gets the rebounds, starting a break that ends with Adel's bucket while being fouled. He'll have an FT after the timeout. ESPN color analyst Dino Gaudio says Cards are a "Final Four team."

Halftime, Louisville 51-18: Louisville shot 71.4 percent (!) in the first half (20/28) and 7/9 on 3s. Pitt is just 4/25 (16 pct) and 0/11 on 3s. Luckily for the Panthers, they are 10/11 on FTs. Mitchell has 16 points. Mahmoud has 12. Hicks has 6 points (3/3 FGs) and 4 assists and made some nice plays on defense as well. McMahon has six on the two late threes, and Adel and Mathiang both have five. Artis, who had 43 points in the first meeting against Louisville, has just four points on 1/6 shooting

Halftime, Louisville 51-18: What a half by the Cards. Ryan McMahon gets in on the action with two threes as Louisville made its last seven shots before the half, and Louisville had dominated Pitt in the first half. Pitt got a three-point play from Jones with 24 seconds left to break a long shooting drought (about 11 minutes).

1H :59.7, Louisville 45-15: Cards are smoking the Panthers, and Mitchell who has 16 points has outscored Pitt singlehandedly. Pitt is just 3/24 (12.5 pct ) from the floor and hasn't made a field goal for over 11 minutes. They announce on TV that Tony Hicks twisted a finger earlier in the game, but he's back in and just drew a charge and drove for a layup down the left side that he successfully placed high of the glass.

1H, 3:31, Louisville 37-13: The Cards with another 6-0 run, and U of L is dialed in on offense (65.2 percent FG) and defense (14.3 percent). Mitchell has 14 points with four threes, and Mahmoud (5/5 FGs) has 10 points. Pitt is just 3/21 from the floor. If not for 7/8 FT shooting, the Panthers would be even further out of it.

1H, 6:47, Louisville 30-11: Louisville rolling, and it's looking a lot like the last Pitt-UL meeting. Mitchell is up to 14 points and already has hit four threes. He's looking like Pitt hasn't hit a FG for over six minutes.

1H, 10:46 Louisville 17-7: Cards staying hot. Mitchell makes a three from the right wing that briefly made it a 17-5 game, Mahmoud had a running bank shot across the lane to give him eight points, and right after the timeout, Hicks raced coast to coast for the layup. He's been a completely different player the last few games. Pitt is only 3/13 to start.

1H, 15:37, Louisville 10-3: A small note - Louisville's coaches are wearing sneakers on the sideline in support of Coaches vs. Cancer.

1H, 15:37, Louisville 10-3: Nice start by the Cards and Mahmoud, who has six points on 3/3 shooting. Hicks, who started the game, with a bucket in transition while being fouled. (He missed the free throw.) Adel got a steal and it led to a nice hook shot in the post by Mahmoud. Mahmoud also scored after getting open under the goal and skying for a layup. Louisville is 5/7. Pitt is 1/6.

1H, 20:00: Hicks got the start instead of King, FYI, coming off the strong game at FSU.

PREGAME

6:30 p.m.: Live the live stats feed, which I'm not sure is official at this point, the lineup for Louisville will be the same as last game - Mahmoud, Johnson, King, Adel, Mitchell. Quentin Snider expected again to miss the game.

6:05 p.m: Jeff Greer tweeted before the game that Rick Pitino is battling flu-like symptoms. He's expected to coach the game, but he missed the walk-through earlier.
