Hello and welcome to our live coverage of seventh-ranked Louisville basketball's regular-season finale against No. 13 Notre Dame at the KFC Yum Center.

Here, we'll have updates and commentary from courtside as the Cards (23-7, 11-6 ACC) vie for a double bye in the conference tournament next week in Brooklyn. Curious what all the tiebreakers and scenarios are for the ACC tournament? Here's a handy guide. You can also follow me on Twitter (@JeffGreer_CJ) for more analysis and lots of bad jokes.

How can you watch the game? It's funny you ask! I just wrote all about that, plus some storylines for today's game and much more, yesterday. Click here for that.

By the way, it's senior day for U of L. I wrote about David Levitch and the final home game of his basketball career. I also wrote about Mangok Mathiang's long and winding road to today. And I wrote about Tony Hicks, the graduate transfer, and his quick time in Louisville.

IN-GAME UPDATES

FINAL: Louisville 71, Notre Dame 64.

37.0, second half: Big, big 3 from Deng Adel. Cojones. Louisville up five.

49.5, second half: Strap in, folks. This is gonna be a fun finish. Matt Farrell with a layup to cut this game to two points. Louisville's late-game execution has been iffy at best. Big moment here.

Louisville 64-62.

1:41, second half: A big layup there for Ray Spalding gave him four points for the day. His length has been helpful today.

Louisville 64, Notre Dame 58.

2:58, second half: Another 3 from Snider, but Notre Dame answers right back. This is going to be a fun finish here in Louisville ... The Cards' offense is getting good looks here.

Louisville 61, Notre Dame 56.

4:47, second half: Quentin Snider is coming through in a big way for Louisville in the second half, with 11 points after the break. He's made all four of his shots.

Louisville 58, Notre Dame 53.

6:46, second half: Mangok Mathiang has a career-high 18 points on his senior day. He just faked right and turned left to bank in a post hook. He's been Louisville's best player today. Meanwhile VJ Beachem's current status: Ballin'. Dude has 17 points.

Louisville 53, Notre Dame 51.

8:34, second half: Really entertaining game at this point. Back and forth. Louisville's gotten a great second half from Quentin Snider, who is up to 10 points after an acrobatic layup. Mangok Mathiang has his second consecutive double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Neither team is shooting it great, but this is a game of swings.

Louisville 49, Notre Dame 46.

11:24, second half: Just like the first half, much better this segment from Louisville after a rough start. The Cards are 3 of their last 5, and Quentin Snider now has two 3-pointers and eight points. U of L is 2 of 8 from 2 and 3 of 7 from 3.

Louisville 45, Notre Dame 44.

14:40, second half: A shaky start to the second half for the Cards, who are really having issues with clean catches, grabbing rebounds and keeping possession around the basket. U of L is 4 of 10 on dunks and layups today. No bueno.

That said, Donovan Mitchell is awake here in the second half, with seven points in the first five minutes or so. He's engaged and trying to encourage his teammates.

Notre Dame 40, Louisville 37.

20:00, second half: Same five starters for Louisville ... Snider, Mitchell, Adel, Spalding and Mahmoud. The frontcourt length has been an issue for Notre Dame.

HALF: Louisville 30, Notre Dame 27. Mangok Mathiang leads all scorers with 12 points. He is 5 of 7 from the field and also has five rebounds, one steal, one block and one assist. Very good stuff from the redshirt senior on senior day.

Louisville, overall, is playing solid defense. Notre Dame has five turnovers and is 11 of 28 from the field (39 percent). The Cards have gotten out to the 3-point line to contest, and ND is just 4 of 14 from distance. Notre Dame is getting just 0.9 points per possession. That's good for U of L's defense.

On the other end, Louisville is hammering it inside, trying to use its length and height advantage to create scoring chances. It has worked well at times, but the big men have to remember that they can't just be vacuums. Donovan Mitchell hit back-to-back 3s but he is just 2 of 8 and has to get going in the second half.

3:44, first half: The tide of this game has turned quite a bit. Louisville is doing a great job of attacking the basket and getting open looks. Donovan Mitchell is now 2 of 3 from 3 after starting the game 0 for 4 from the field. He's up to 40.8 percent from 3 in ACC games. On defense, the Cards are playing more man and they are switching but not sticking. It's a momentarily pause before the big hustles back to his guy. That's confused Notre Dame on a couple plays, but the Irish are bucket getters, and that keeps them in a lot of games.

Louisville 22, Notre Dame 20.

7:25, first half: Much, much better from Louisville that segment. Mangok Mathiang has provided seven minutes of energy off the bench, attacking Notre Dame's undersized big man, Bonzie Colson. Mathiang had a nice drop-step for a bucket, then followed that with a putback slam. He took his guy elbow to box for a lefty layup, too. Cards are still struggling with Notre Dame's undersized, quicker lineup, though.

Notre Dame 16, Louisville 15.

11:51, first half: Man, Louisville cannot buy a bucket. Now 2 of 10 from the field and 1 of its last 9. The Cards haven't scored in two minutes. Notre Dame is 1 for its last 9, too, and hasn't scored in two and a half minutes. ACC hoops - get into it!

But really, we just witnessed an example of the defensive issues hurting Louisville. The Cards don't talk enough, which is how they ended up rushing two defenders to close out on Notre Dame shooter, forcing a third defender to scramble out of position and close out late. Bucket for Notre Dame.

Notre Dame 10, Louisville 6.

14:29, first half: Some bright spots and some ... not-so-bright spots to start for Louisville. Anas Mahmoud's long arms helped him get a key deflection late in the shot clock that forced a clock violation by Notre Dame, then he just swatted a shot to lead us to our first timeout. But at the other end, Mahmoud is 1 of 4 and has missed three post hooks. U of L is getting good shots but not making them.

Notre Dame 7, Louisville 4.

20:00, first half: Louisville starters ... Quentin Snider, Donovan Mitchell, Deng Adel, Ray Spalding and Anas Mahmoud. Notre Dame sticks with its one guard (Matt Farrell), three wings (Rex Pflueger, VJ Beachem and Steve Vasturia) and Bonzie Colson, an undersized big man, for the starting lineup.

PREGAME UPDATES

* Since so many people seem to be interested in this kind of stuff, the officials for today's game are Mike Eades, Bert Smith and Brian O'Connell. Eades is ranked the third-best ref in college hoops by Ken Pomeroy (yes, KenPom even rates officials), and O'Connell is in the top 20. Not a bad crew.

* Louisville opened as an eight-point favorite and has been bet down to seven points.
