Man found dead in Germantown apartment

Louisville Metro Police officers found a man dead inside an apartment in the 900 block of E. St. Catherine Street after receiving a call from neighbors about 8:30 a.m Sunday.

Police determined that the man's death was a homicide but they are awaiting an autopsy before they determine the exact cause of death.

"We suspect foul play was involved," said police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley.

The man's race and age are still undetermined, Smiley said.

The death is Louisville's 12th homicide so far this year.
